Decimal Quantities

Orderspace supports the use of decimal (non-whole number) quantities as an optional feature. This allows items to be ordered in quantities with one, two, or three decimal places. It is designed primarily for items that are sold by weight.

The feature can be enabled from Settings > Optional Features on the admin site.

With the feature enabled, the Quantity Precision field on each product controls the number of decimal places that the product supports. The default is zero, which means the product can only be ordered in whole numbers. Valid options are 0, 1, 2, or 3 decimal places.

The Quantity Precision can be set from the Details tab when editing each product individually on the admin site, or in bulk using the Quantity Precision column on a product import. This column is also shown on a product export when the feature is enabled.
