Shipping

Shipping options in Orderspace are managed from Settings > Shipping in the admin.

If a single shipping option is enabled, it will be applied automatically when orders are created. If more than one shipping option is enabled, customers will be able to choose between them.

Specific shipping options can be assigned to a set of customers using  Customer Groups.

When entering shipping costs, prices will be in the currency assigned to the customer.

There are three ways shipping costs can be calculated:

Shipping cost is a fixed amount - The most simple option. Enter an amount in the Shipping Cost field and all orders will be charged this amount.

Shipping cost is based on order total price - This allows shipping costs to be banded based on the total price of the items being ordered. The From (Order Total) should start at zero on the first tier to set the default shipping cost. For each additional tier, the From (Order Total) should be higher than the previous one. For example:

In the example above, the shipping cost will be $5.99 for orders under $100. Where the order total is $100 or above, but less than $200, the shipping cost will be $8.99. Where the order total is $200 or above, but less than $400, the shipping cost will be $12.99. For order totals of $400 and above, shipping will be free.

Shipping cost is based on order total weight - This allows shipping costs to be banded based on the total weight of the items on an order. Once a shipping option with this setting has been added, weights will be enabled on your account. Weights can be added to items from the Variants tab of each product in the admin, or in bulk using the Weight column on a product import CSV file. By default, weights are in kilograms (kg).

When adding weight based price tiers, the From (Order Weight) should start at zero on the first tier to set the default shipping cost. For each additional tier, the From (Order Weight) should be higher than the previous one. For example:

In the example above, the shipping cost will be $2.99 for orders where the total weight of the items is less than 5kg. For orders weighing 5kg or more, and less than 10kg, the shipping cost will be $4.99. For orders weighing 10kg or more, and less than 20kg, the shipping cost will be $6.99. For orders weighing 20kg or more, the shipping cost will be $8.99.
